At Cosy Found, we believe in the power of grounding
moments. The ones that bring a sustained sense of peace and comfort.

Our brand is built on the idea that cosiness isn’t just about physical warmth; it’s about emotional well-being, nostalgia, and the small rituals that bring us home to ourselves.

We’re Reena and Smita, sisters and co-founders of Cosy Found. Born in the UK but deeply shaped by our childhood in Mauritius, we grew up amidst a vibrant blend of cultures, traditions, and landscapes. Our ancestors were indentured labourers from Bihar, India, and their resilience and connection to nature have always been a part of our story. Life in a tropical paradise gave us an early appreciation for natural materials, slow living, and joy in simplicity.

Returning to the UK as teens brought a renewed appreciation for everything we had missed - the changing seasons, the crisp Autumn air, the charm of British demeanour, a full English and the rich, multicultural fabric of everyday life.

We both studied at Imperial College London, where Reena pursued Chemistry and Smita studied Mathematics. Our careers took us in different directions - Smita became a Chartered Accountant, and Reena spent over a decade working across sales and marketing at L’Oréal. These experiences that shaped our understanding of business, creativity, and human connection.

Motherhood defined our priorities. After experiencing the transformative journey of raising our sons, we became attuned to the impact of mental well-being, self-care, and healing - both for ourselves and for the generations before and after us. Amidst the demands of daily life, we crave moments of calm, experiences that feel safe and soothing, and small rituals that bring a sense of ease and comfort. We also have personal experiences with the dreaded Burnout and the unrelenting pace of modern life.

We created Cosy Found as a way to help counteract that stress, curating thoughtful, beautiful ways to pause and reset.

Despite the similarities in our journeys, we have always been distinct in our personalities, interests, and the ways we experience the world. This contrast has sparked our curiosity about what truly makes an experience feel cosy - not just for us, but for each individual. As we built Cosy Found, we became fascinated by the idea of sonder - the quiet realisation that every person carries their own unique story, shaped by memories, traditions, and experiences. The acknowledgement that comfort looks different to everybody. For some, it’s a warm cup of tea on a rainy day; for others, it’s the scent of a familiar spice from childhood. This understanding fuels our passion to create moments of cosiness that feel attainable, meaningful, and truly grounding.
